Kids of all ages will have fun learning how maple syrup is made on this family hike! Operating sugarhouse, hiking trails, and barnyard zoo on the outskirts of the Naugatuck State Forest. Meet at the sugarshack at 1 p.m. Bring stabilicers or similar if you have them. Marshmallows and hot cocoa after the hike. All are welcome! Bad weather/unsafe roads reschedules to Sun., Feb. 28. Directions: I-91 to exit 10. Take the connector to the end. Take a right at the light onto Rte. 10N (Whitney Ave). Follow Rte. 10N for a few miles, past the Sleeping Giant golf course, and past a strip mall on the right. Take a left onto Brooksvale Ave. Follow winding road about 1 mile. Park will be on the left. Registration required! Contact leader to register. Call 203-500-7088 day of hike only.
