5.5 miles hike along Potomac, good river views, cliffs, maybe rock climbers, returning by C&O Canal. We'll start/end at Carderock Picnic Area, and hike on Loops C (easy), passing the Carderock rock Climbing area, and B (moderate), with some rocky crags and rapids. We'll hike back on the C&O canal. Hikers with limited time/energy can bail out at the end of Loop C for a 3-mile hike.
