Tuesday Hiking. Holyoke Range
Activity: Hiking
Status: OPEN

Meet at 9:30 AM at the Notch Visitor Center on Route 116 in Amherst. The Visitor Center is between South hadley and Route 9 in Amherst, closer to Amherst. The hike will be 5-6 mile long to Mt. Norwottuck and Rattlesnake Knob in the Holyoke Range. We will go out by the M-M and Southside Trails and back by the Robert Frost Trail. There are great views from the mountain and from the Knob. The terrain is mostly average, but there are some steep ups and downs over the mountain. It's hunting season so, if you can, wear something orange. Bring lunch, water, snacks, and hiking poles if you use them. Wear sturdy boots.
