8 mi.-3.5 hr. stroll exploring some old trails and some new ones, some woods, some shorelines, some neighborhoods, some parks -- a grand view of the Capital City on a fascinating trail network. Note though - this is a hike NOT a tour. (No commentary!) Meet at 9 a.m. at the Visitors Center, 26 West St. near Church Circle, Annapolis 21401. [From all directions, head to Annapolis on U.S. Rtes 50/301. Take exit 24, MD Rte 70 "Rowe Blvd" towards the State House. Follow the Vis. Cntr signs to Gotts Ct parking garage behind the Cntr off NW & Calvert Sts.] The Vis. Cntr contains facilities for your relief plus a relief map for your facilitation. Step off from the rear of the Vis. Cntr at 9:15 a.m. sharp! Boots are preferred. Most surfaces are paved but some are dirt paths. Bring snax to share, and water. Dress in layers but bring a backpack to hold your excess clothing from over-dressing. Canines are discouraged but if present, must be leashed. A map and route description will be provided.
