7.2 mi. Point-to-point downhill, Windsor Mill Rd to Wash. Blvd. Mostly paved or gravel surfaces. The stream valley's 1400 acres make it the largest wilderness park in a city E. of the Mississippi. Amazingly rural in a highly urbanized area. Countless historical, natural, and mad-made highlights. Annapolis folks: Meet at 7:30 a.m. at Truman Pkwy park/ride lower lot off Riva Rd near Annapolis. Depart at 7:45 a.m. sharp! Carpool in caravan going N. on I-97 to I-695, Balt. Beltway; then W. on Beltway towards Towson. [D.C. folks: Take I-95 north to I-695, then W. towards Towson]. [Balt. folks: You figure it out. It's your town!] At I-70, exit 16, go E. towards park/ride lot. Exit onto Security Blvd at exit 94. Stay in R. lane and shortly turn R. at light onto Forest Park Av. Go up hill and after 0.4 mile, turn R. at light onto Windsor Mill Rd. Just after Eagle Dr near #4921, turn R. into Gwynns Falls Leakin Park parking lot. DC/Balt. folks: Arrive by 8:30 a.m. Relocation of cars to finish is required. Step off at 9:30 a.m. Dress in layers & bring a backpack to store the extra layers resulting from overdressing. Boots preferred but not required by terrain. Trail description & map will be provided. Possibility of restrooms along the way. Bring kool snax to share, and water. Canines must be leashed.
