Staying at Trail's End B&B in the Lake Placid area of the Adirondack Mts. of New York. Ski at Mt. VanHoevenburg Center, site of the 1980 Olympics and other X-C centers. Also, lots of backcountry X-C/snowshoeing areas. Great for all levels of skiers/snowshoers.
