0927: Backcountry Hut-to-Hut Hiking in the Bavarian Alps

Enjoy the Grandeur of the Bavarian Alps. We intend to immerse ourselves in this rich culture w/a multi-day mountain trek, staying in full-service huts along the way. The Wettersteinngebirge mountain range, which contains Zugspitze, Germany's highest peak (9718 ft), will be our focus for the trek. We'll also cross the range into Austria for a stay in a mountain village. Munich will be our entry/exit point and we'll explore it as well. Intermed. hiking skills and good conditioning are req'd, as we will be backpacking our personal gear on the hikes. Approx. trip cost is $1450 plus estimated airfare of $1000.
