0920: Mongolia Expedition: Routes of the Darhat Mongols

Trek and/or horseback from upper Lake Khousgol,[wintering migration grounds] over the Saridan Mts. to Darhat Valley following two of the migrations routes in this remote mountain corner of Asia. Tent and ger camping with spectacular mountain, lake, and valley vistas. Picking up a second set of horses, we follow the valley south to the Russian pass.While en route we will have a day on a social service project before ending in Khatgal for the fall Darhat festival. This very special festival is filled with horse races, archery, and wrestling.. Begin and end in the capital, Ulaanbaatar. with hotel accommodation. $3925 plus air est. at $2000. all inclusive: guides, food, accommodations, horses, internal air, and festival.
