0904: Colorado Ranch Vacation: Swim and Hike the Rockies

Join us as we hike the majestic Rocky Mountains in Colorado, most spectacular state in the southwestern U.S. View Pronghorn Antelope, American Bison and even Bald Eagles. Participate in an early morning birding trip to Lake George to see white pelicans, cormorants and other water birds. Enjoy the sauna, tennis courts and pool at the ranch at the end of the day. Observe the stars and planets at the Observatory with Colorados 4th largest telescope. Hikes will range from scenic hikes to 7mi/day mod pace. We are staying at the Nature Place Conference Center, Florissant, CO, base at elevation of 8600 ft. Approx. cost $1750 plus est. $450-$600 airfare. Leaders can help research airfares. Cost covers cozy studio apartment lodging, six buffet style breakfasts, six sumptuous dinners, five sack lunches, Colorado ground transportation.
