0901:Snowshoe Adventure in Glacier NP and Mission Valley, MT
Activity:
Status: OPEN

Bring your camera on this snowshoe adventure in spectacular Glacier NP!As we snowshoe, we'll learn how to tell what animals have been there before us by the clues they've left behind, and with luck, we'll spot some live animals as well. Wildlife experts will teach us about natural history and tracking mammals. The beautiful Mission Valley boasts one of the largest concentrations of wintering raptors in the Northwest including hawks, bald eagles, and kestrels. With a world-renowned snowy owl researcher we will go on a viewing safari where you can be sure to spot about 300 raptors in 2 days! Snowshoe hikes will be intermediate, ranging from 6-15 miles with moderate elevation gain. Recent snowshoeing experience required. Accommodations - motels and lodges. Cost of approx.$1325 ground plus estimated airfare of $500-800 (from East Coast) includes all lodging, most breakfasts, dinners, lunches, vans, fieldprograms, etc.
