Sorry Mom, this is one of the few wknds between ice-out and bf's in the ADK's. Fri: paddle (with camping gear) 3 miles to an island, set up and explore the lake. Sat: paddle, shuttle and hike Ampersand Mtn (6 mile RT hike with incredible views) then paddle M Saranac Lk and 'lock through' back to camp. Sun. offers options for torso, as well as leg-based activities. Be prepared for cold water, yet warming spring temps. Experienced, self-sufficient kayak and canoe campers w/ own cooking gear and food welcome. Club kayak rentals avail for you to cartop. Register by 5/4.
