Up the lift then 3,245 feet and 11 mi down the back over mixed terrain. Some narrow. None very steep. Any turning ability will get you through. Hopefully we have time and sun for a few runs in the birch glade in the middle and lunch at Halls Ledge with views of Mt Washington and the ravines. Then we kick and glide for a few miles while we traverse the ridge so we can descend and and exit down the west side of the ridge. Its always a fun trip. good descriptions of this trip can be found at the websites (below) for the Dartmouth Outing Club and the Jackson Ski Touring Foundation, and in Dave Goodman's book of NH Backcountry skiing.
