Alpine Garden. Hike Tuckerman ravine or other trails to the Alpine Garden trail. Traverse across the Alpine Garden trail stopping frequently to identify and observe Mt Washington's unique and rare Arctic alpine plant adaptations to conditions normally found in the northern Canadian tundra. Using the Tucks trail it's approx 7 miles up and down, 3100 feet 6hrs (plus 2-3 miles, 300-400ft, 1-3hrs on the garden trail depending on interest)
