Discover Delaware: Walk Through History at Pea Patch Island

Take a Short boat ride from Delaware City to Fort Delaware State Park (Pea Patch Island). Tour A Civil War Era Fort. Walk the short nature trail to a heron rookery. Another short boat ride to Fort Mott in New Jersey and the National Cemetery where 2,400 Confederate prisoners who died at Fort Delaware are buried. This will be the beginning and conclusion of our "Discover New Jersey" hiking series. Optional dinner afterward at an eating emporium in Newark, DE. TBD Full details to those that sign up.
